BNT’s ESSENTIAL is made from evaporated sea salt, is a must-have for your aquarium. ESSENTIAL is a useful remedy for the prevention and treatment of several freshwater fish dis- eases. It assists in the healing of injuries, promotes the formation of slime coating, improves gill function, reduces the uptake of nitrate, and is even effective against some parasites, minimizes osmoregulatory stress during transport and prevents methemoglobinemia (brown blood disease). It also provides essential electrolytes that fish need to reach peak coloration and vitality. These electrolytes may be lost each time you perform a partial water change, and will need to be replenished.

Use ESSENTIAL in freshwater aquarium tanks when starting a new aquarium, and any time you perform a water change. Care should be taken when using salt in aquariums with live plants, as some plants may be sensitive.

Easy Instructions for Essential Use:

1. Do a 50% water change with BNT’s AQUA SAFE or AQUA BETTA SAFE.
2. Add 1 teaspoon (5gms) of Essential per 13 gallons (50 litres) of Aquarium water into your tank. (We recommend to use it in combination with Nature Care)
3. Repeat this dose with every water change as per the amount of water removed from the tank.

NOTE: Scaleless fishes like clown loaches, Scaleless bottom feeders like Chinese al- gae eaters and Corydoras catfish, are sensitive to salts and may die if concentrations are too high.
